Hallelujah! Good morning, and welcome to YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH! 😀
The watch words for today’s audio-cast are: UP, UP, and AWAY!
Tune your hearts to be JOYFUL, listeners, because the Lord is about to share His plans for all those who belong to Him… and they are GREAT!
Enjoy, and have a TERRIFIC weekend, in the Mighty Name of the Lord! AMEN!
We’re drawing closer to the weekend and, as always, our God is abounding with strengthening words for us.
Welcome, everyone, to YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH.
God is a relational God; He loves the very thought of being with His children forever; I’m with Him in that!
Join me for a time of encouragement, love, and blessings to your souls. Amen. 🙂
Welcome to YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH! This morning’s word is one to encourage those who wonder if their witnessing for God is effective enough. Isn’t God marvelous to strengthen us in these ways?! AMEN.
As you listen, may your souls be blessed, especially in knowing our God cannot lie. Hallelujah! But He is the very truth itself. Truth really isn’t a “what” – it’s a WHO! And He is Faithful. 😀
Some biblical principles are challenging, even for the most mature Christian. Take prayer and fasting for example; not many want to handle them both. Sure, we can buckle down and decide to pray – even every day – but I have heard people of God say they “hate” fasting. Why?
There are many ways to fast but, whenever we fast from food for a time, scripture says we literally “afflict” our souls (will, mind, emotions). The flesh is never going to approve of or enjoy that.
It’s important to know that fasting doesn’t move God, it moves US. Our prayer and fasting doesn’t humble God, it humbles US. Prayer and fasting doesn’t empower God, it empowers US.
Yeshua humbled Himself greatly before beginning His 3-year ministry by fasting 40 days and nights. As a result, the flesh had NO power over Him nor voice in Him. Hallelujah!
Do you want to subdue your flesh and hear from God more clearly? Talk to the Lord about prayer and fasting. I say, “talk to the Lord”, because I firmly believe whether or not you join a time of fasting to your prayers should be a decision ONLY God makes. Seek Him out regarding it. I will say that the further along you grow in Him, there WILL come a day when He asks it of you. Pushing back your flesh so your spirit can rapidly grow stronger to handle the next phase of His plan for your life is an oft-utilized tool of the Father, because He alone knows what measure of growth in submission we must achieve to continually advance in Him.
Do I hate to fast? Honestly, no. Do I love to fast? Honestly, no.
In the 47 years of my walk with the Godhead, They have asked it of me several times, because my flesh has needed MEGA pruning given Their intercessory commission over my life. (How many of you know that praying faithfully and sincerely for my enemies doesn’t appeal to my flesh? 😐)
But walking victoriously with Christ in the face of temptations and challenges always comes down to one thing: choice. Do you want to grow in Christ more than you want to eat? Do you say of God, like Job, “…I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.” ? Job 23:12b That’s the inevitable crossroads I came to, as do we all.
For me, the conclusion of the matter of prayer and fasting lies in what it reaps in my life. No one can reward our obedience like the Lord. No one. I’ve found God’s words from Isaiah 58 regarding fasts that please Him irresistible, and they are abundantly true:
“Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and He shall say, Here I am.” Isaiah 58:8-9.
To all who love God I say, obey the Lord in prayer and fasting; you’ll never regret it.
Welcome to YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH!
I believe what the Lord wants to place upon our hearts most of all is that His JOY is ever and always our strength. Through it, He can raise us above earth’s nonsense and into the realms of His Peace and sanity.
Put your eyes upon Yeshua (Jesus), and allow His words to sink deeply into your ears and hearts to minister JOY and Peace to you today.
God Bless You! 😀
